Cherry Chicken

Not only did I find Chicken Leg Quarters on sale for $0.25/lb., Cherries were ALSO on sale for $0.99/lb!  JACKPOT!!!!!  I wanted to do things very simply as to highlight the sweetness and tartness of the cherries, so there are very few ingredients listed below!  This was SO tender and SO delicious!!!

For a girl who doesn't like cherries (Me <---------), I found this to be scrumptious!!!!!!  Plus, this is a great way to sneak fruit into your chid's diet!!!!!!  You could always puree the cherries and your child would NEVER know they were in there!!!!!!

I hope you try this!

Cherry Chicken

Ingredients:
2.5 lbs. Bone-In Chicken (I used Chicken Leg Quarters)
2 cups whole cherries, pitted then chopped
1/4 cup sugar
1 small onion, halved and sliced
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

Directions:
Place the chicken into your crock and sprinkle with the salt, pepper and garlic powder.

In a bowl, mix together the cherries, onions and sugar.

Pour this mixture over your chicken
and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours or on HIGH for 3.5-4.5 hours.
Serve and Enjoy!
