TruMoo #Review and Goosebumps DVD #GIVEAWAY

My kids don't get chocolate milk or flavored milk very often, but when they do, it's always been TruMoo.  Why?  Because TruMoo milk contains 35% less sugar than other chocolate milk providers and no high fructose corn syrup.  It's truly a special treat around here!

My kids had the pleasure of trying the TruMoo Vanilla Special Holiday Edition which is tinted orange and the chocolate milk.  (It's been at least a year since they've had chocolate milk.)  You can find TruMoo Milk at WalMart or Target, or other retailers nationwide!

TruMoo sent us a couple of recipes, but the kids and I had fun creating our own, which are very similar to the TruMoo recipes!  We bought some fun Halloween sprinkles and some light whipped cream to make our creations even more fun!

This is our version of Spookie Smoothie!

Here is TruMoo's Recipe:
Spooky Smoothie

Ingredients
3 cups Limited Edition TruMoo Lowfat Vanilla Milk (orange color)
1 ½ cups lowfat vanilla Greek yogurt
5 cups ice cubes
¼ cup fat-free whipped cream
Candy corn for garnish, optional

Directions
In blender combine TruMoo, yogurt and ice cubes. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

To serve, pour into serving glasses. Top with fat free whipped cream and candy corn.

Serves 4.

Here is our version:
1 1/2 cups Limited Edition TruMoo Lowfat Vanilla Milk (orange color)
1 cup lowfat vanilla Greek yogurt
1/2 cup ice
whipped cream
halloween sprinkles
ghost marshmallows

The kids liked this one, but were mostly into the sprinkles and ghosts.  LOL  They did however like the milk all on it's own as a special treat!

The other one we made was our version of the Monster Mash Mudslide
Here is TruMoo's Recipe:
Monster Mash Mudslide

Ingredients
4 cups TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk
10 chocolate wafer cookies, coarsely broken
½ cup frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
8 mini chocolate chips or mini chocolate candies (orange/brown flavor suggested)

Directions
In blender, combine TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk and chocolate wafer cookies until smooth. Heat mixture in saucepan or microwave until just heated through.*

To serve, pour chocolate milk mixture into 4 glasses. For each serving, spoon a large, upright dollop of whipped topping to resemble a ghost. Insert chocolate chips or chocolate candies into the dollop for eyes.

Serves 4.

*To enjoy a cold mudslide, do not heat in saucepan or microwave.

Here is our version:
1 1/2 cups TruMoo Lowfat chocolate milk
1/2 cup ice
whipped cream
mini chocolate chips
sprinkles

The kids really liked this one!  We didn't add the wafer cookies because I did not want them around the house.  My kids don't get cookies very often and having the chocolate milk in the house was treat enough!

We had a great time in the kitchen as a family with the TruMoo milk!
